Bishop Aaron Herbert Lee Moore Sr.
The Christian Praise & Worship Center, formerly known as the Alpha Omega Reformed House of God, was founded on March 10, 1961, by the late Bishop Aaron Herbert Lee Moore, Sr. Bishop Moore was a charismatic Pentecostal preacher, visionary leader, and spiritual father whose life was devoted to the advancement of the Kingdom of God. With a deep passion for the Word of God and the salvation of souls, Bishop Moore’s powerful preaching, sound teaching, and unwavering faith led many to Christ and established a strong spiritual foundation that continues to impact lives today. His ministry was marked by conviction, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to building the church and strengthening the people of God.
In addition to leading the local congregation, Bishop Moore served as the General Overseer of the Reformed House of God Fellowship of Churches, providing spiritual oversight to churches both nationally and internationally. Through his leadership, ministries were strengthened, leaders were developed, and communities were impacted by the transformative power of the Gospel. Bishop Moore was widely respected for his mentorship, wisdom, and dedication to raising up the next generation of spiritual leaders.
After nearly 40 years of faithful and dedicated service, Bishop Moore was called from time into eternity, leaving behind a powerful legacy of faith, leadership, and Kingdom advancement. Following his passing, his daughter, Pastor Lonnie Moore Palmer, assumed the role of Senior Pastor. For more than 24 years, Pastor Palmer faithfully advanced the Kingdom of God through her authentic preaching, compassionate leadership, and unwavering commitment to the people of God. Through her ministry, she continued the vision and legacy established by her father while demonstrating the love of Christ to all who encountered her.
Today, the legacy of this ministry continues through the leadership of Pastors Javetta and Timothy Campbell, who now serve as the pastors of Christian Praise & Worship Center. Building upon the strong spiritual foundation laid by Bishop Moore and Pastor Palmer, they remain committed to preaching the Gospel, nurturing the faith of believers, and continuing the work of ministry within the church and throughout the community. Under their leadership, the church continues to move forward in faith, honoring its rich heritage while embracing the future of God’s work.
Pastor Lonnie M. Palmer
Pastor Palmer was known for her dynamic and inspiring sermons that resonated with people from all walks of life. As a charismatic Pentecostal preacher and devoted shepherd, she carried a unique ability to communicate the Word of God in a way that was both powerful and deeply personal. Over the course of more than 40 years in ministry, including over 25 years of pastoral leadership, she faithfully guided the church with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Her leadership not only strengthened the spiritual foundation of the church but also fostered a deep sense of community, unity, and outreach. Under her guidance, the church experienced significant growth and became a beacon of hope, faith, and restoration within the community.
In addition to her pastoral leadership, Pastor Palmer was a renowned choir director, organist, singer, and evangelist whose musical gifts played a significant role in her ministry. Known for her melodic soprano voice, she ministered through song with a depth of passion and anointing that touched countless lives. Whether directing the choir, accompanying worship on the organ, or lifting her voice in song, she carried a unique ability to usher people into moments of heartfelt worship and spiritual reflection.
Beyond the local congregation, Pastor Palmer was a dedicated evangelist who traveled extensively to share the message of God’s love and the transforming power of the Gospel. She became a sought-after speaker at conferences, revivals, and ministry gatherings, where her heartfelt messages and authentic delivery inspired many. She was also the founder of Lonnie Palmer Ministries, a ministry that reached thousands of women across the Southeast through gatherings, conferences, and spiritual mentorship. Through this work, many women were strengthened in faith, purpose, and personal growth. The impact of this ministry extended widely, with ministry plants and continuing influence in Washington, D.C., Florida, and throughout the Carolinas.
